Pet Health for
Newborns to Seniors From Bellerose Animal Hospital
The key to pets living long and active lives is being proactive about their health, from puppies to seniors. We strongly believe that good preventive care leads to good health for your pet, and we are committed to working with our clients to develop a wellness plan that works for them.
Puppy and kitten care—Congratulations on your new pet! Now it’s time to bring him or her in for a checkup, microchipping, and to ask us any questions you may have about caring for your new puppy or kitten.
Pet vaccinations—It is so important to give your new pet a healthy start. We will work with you to develop a vaccination plan that is right for you and your pet and spend time answering any questions you may have as a new pet owner.
Pet wellness—Adult cats and dogs should visit their veterinarian once a year for a full checkup and to make sure they’re exercising and eating a healthy diet. At your pet’s wellness exam, your veterinarian will also examine your pet’s mouth to make sure his or her teeth and gums are in good condition.
Senior pet care—If your pet has reached 7 years of age, we consider him or her a senior and recommend twice-a-year visits to the veterinarian. More frequent visits at this age can help catch medical problems early, before they become serious.
“I love this place. Both of my dogs go here. The staff is always very nice! The doctors are amazing and take the time to explain everything to you about your pet.
“The staff at Bellerose has treated our family’s pets continuously since 1963. I cannot say enough about the excellent care that our pets have received from their professional, caring staff. They have treated 2 dogs and 7 cats during the last 49 years for everything.

“I wanted to thank you for everything that you did for my “baby”. You are such a great vet and I will be forever grateful for everything you do for me and MJ.
“We loved Missie very much as she loved us for ten years. She was a member of our family. We needed the little time left to us to talk to her, pet her, comfort her and express our love for her.
“We would like to take the opportunity to say how we are pleased at the service Sammy receives at your facility. Especially for Dr Mariliz Hernandez, she is a great asset to your hospital. We appreciate the care and understanding Dr Hernandez shows Sammy at the time of his exam.
