Dr. Andrew Karmin

Dr. Andrew Karmin received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Karmin has served as the director of Bellerose Animal Hospital for more than 30 years. As hospital director, he has been an innovator and forerunner in the field of veterinary medicine. He has always strived to provide the most up-to-date, gold-standard veterinary medical care, equipment, and expertise at Bellerose Animal Hospital.

Dr. Karmin has served as past-president for the Veterinary Medical Association of New York City and is a member of the advisory board of LaGuardia Community College Veterinary Nursing program. He is an advocate for veterinary nursing, particularly critical care nursing, and encourages all of Bellerose's veterinary nurses to further their education.

Dr. Karmin's special interests include surgery, internal medicine, and oncology. He schedules a full complement of continuing education programs in the hospital for doctors and nurses and also attends continuing education meetings outside the hospital.

Dr. Karmin shares his home with the famous Golden Retriever Louie, who welcomes visitors to the hospital, and Moco, a once unwanted Cairn terrier. He is married to Ann Karmin, Bellerose Animal Hospital's office manager.
